Travis Kelce’s Coach Makes Big Statement About Taylor Swift
Matt Nagy, the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, weighed in on the conversation about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship.
“It’s definitely rare for sure, I mean you’re talking about Taylor Swift and Kelce and Patrick [Mahomes],” Nagy told local media outlet KCTV5 in a Monday, April 22, interview. “I know Patrick and Kelce as the people they are away from the different concerts and golf venues etc. I know them on a day-to-day basis.”
He continued by expressing that Swift’s inclusion in the football “family” has made a positive impact on the team. “We love having her a part of the family, the team, what she and Kelce have done is a cool story,” Nagy shared.
“I think it’s a credit to both of them to be two big, powerful people that are also so humble in what they do, and they’re so talented at what they do, whether it’s football or singing,” Nagy also remarked.
Despite some negative discourse regarding the amount of attention Swift received when attending the games, to the extent that the crowd even began to boo her, none of this negativity originated from the Kansas City coaches or the team. “We’re enjoying the journey. We’re proud to be a part of it, and we want to keep it going,” Nagy also told the outlet.
Swift attended plenty of games in support of Kelce, totaling 13 games this past season. Her first appearance was at the Chief’s home field, Arrowhead Stadium, in Missouri. Unsurprisingly, Nagy holds her in high regard, considering she also acted as a good luck charm; they won 10 out of the 13 games she attended, including the 2024 Super Bowl.
