Travis Kelce is catching up with The Chainsmokers!
The Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, hung out with The Chainsmokers’ in what appeared to be a backstage area at the band’s Kentucky Derby gig in Louisville, Kentucky, in a photo posted on Friday, May 3 by one half of the band, Alex Pall. The Grammy-winning duo were playing at the Ice House venue on the night as part of the Sports Illustrated Revel at the Races concert ahead of the big race on May 4.
In Pall’s Instagram Stories snap, Kelce gave a smolder to the camera, while what appeared to be his friend, retired NBA star Chandler Parsons, gazed off into the distance. In a previous photo posted on Pall’s Instagram Stories he shared a snap of an airplane with the caption, “Kentucky Derbyyy, Here we come! SI party tonight.”
Kelce’s catch-up time with the EDM-pop duo comes after he partied with the band back in February. At the time, the athlete was celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl win with his teammates and girlfriend Taylor Swift at Zouk nightclub at Resorts World in Las Vegas.
In a video on TikTok, Kelce got up onstage at one point during the celebrations and joined the band’s D.J. booth after hearing them play his girlfriend Swift’s 2008 song “You Belong with Me.”
Kelce sang along to the song in the clip as he pumped his fists in the air. The NFL player also changed the lyrics in the chorus as he sang, “Are you in love with me?” instead of singing, “You belong with me.”
According to the caption in the video, band frontman Andrew Taggert had said to Kelce, “I didn’t know if I should play it or not.” Kelce was then seen singing to a person off-camera, “Are you in love with me?”
