Serena Williams‘s husband Alexis Ohanian recently shared a glimpse of the hate he received on his women’s basketball-related post two years back.
Ohanian has always been vocal about women’s sports. Being an investor in Angel City FC, a women’s soccer club, Ohanian has always shown the prospect of investing in women’s sports to help them grow. He also pointed out the NCAA’s negligence in not giving required amenities to women’s basketball teams.

While Ohanian is so vocal about supporting women athletes, he faced several criticisms and a series of hateful comments from his fans. Nevertheless, such comments couldn’t change his mind about his vision but he managed to remember them all.
Serena Williams’s husband has been an ardent supporter of women’s sports and he has faced several hateful comments for that. Two years ago, he spoke about the NCAA’s partial attitude toward women athletes and their disregard for promoting female players at March Madness. Ohanian wrote- “The greatest lie the @NCAA ever told was that fans for @MarchMadnessWBB didn’t exist. Watch what happens as they start giving women equal promotion, airtime, and those NIL checks keep pouring in.”
