Po emocjach związanych z finałem męskiego singla, przyszedł czas na ostatni akcent podczas tegorocznego Wimbledonu, czyli starcie o tytuł w mikście z udziałem Jana Zielińskiego. Polak i grająca z nią w parze Tajwanka Su-Wei Hsieh rywalizowali o końcowe trofeum z reprezentantami Meksyku – Santiago Gonzalezem i Giulianą Olmos. Duet z naszym tenisistą wygrał 6:4, 6:2 i tym samym doczekaliśmy się drugiego polskiego sukcesu na kortach Wimbledonu w zawodowych rozgrywkach.
Duet Jan Zieliński/Su-Wei Hsieh rozgrywa dopiero trzeci wspólny turniej wielkoszlemowy, ale już po raz drugi zameldował się w decydującym starciu o tytuł. Po tytule w Australian Open i półfinale na Roland Garros, także podczas Wimbledonu spisywali się znakomicie. W drodze do finału stracili zaledwie jednego seta, w trakcie ćwierćfinału z parą Jamie Murray/Taylor Townsend. Później przyszła wygrana z Michaelem Venusem i Erin Routliffe. Nowozelandczycy mieli znakomitą okazję na zamknięcie pierwszej partii, ale w cudownym stylu wyratowała sytuację Tajwanka. Ostatecznie Zieliński i Hsieh wygrali spotkanie w dwóch setach
