Prince William and Prince Harry have once again offered their congratulations separately to winners of the Diana Award, set up in memory of their late mother.
The Prince of Wales has written a letter, which was posted on Wednesday, praising the ‘extraordinary’ recipients for their “kindness and compassion”, and telling them: “My mother… would be immensely proud of you.” The prince, in his letter on Kensington Palace headed notepaper, describes how the ” world can feel an uncertain and unfamiliar place”, and he praises the winners for overcoming barriers to “make positive change”.
The Duke of Sussex, who continues to be estranged from his brother since quitting his royal role and moving to the United States in 2020, meanwhile, has recorded a video message which will be played during the virtual Diana Award ceremony on Thursday.
